No, we request that smokers smoke outside. We are very allergic to cigarette smoke and it is hard to get the smell out of the cottage

Yes, we provide all bedding, pillows, linens and towels. We ask that you launder them before you leave.

No we provide everything you need in the kitchen except consumables.

We filter the water and it is safe to drink but we also provide a water cooler for your convenience.

Yes, our cottage is in a private bay, and is wonderful to swim in.  There is also a Lilly Pad water mat.

No, there is a diving board, dock and ladder for entry into the water, but no shallow area for children.

There are supermarkets in Port Carling, Bent River, Bracebridge and Huntsville. We recommend you shop for food when you arrive.

There are many restaurants to choose from in Port Carling, Rosseau, Huntsville and Bracebridge.  The best restaurant in the area is called Crossroads, located in the town of Rosseau.

Rosseau Log Home on the Falls has a capacity of 14 people including adults, children and all guests due to the size of the septic system..

The cottage is very private with 320 feet of frontage, on 1.5 acres of land.

We expect you to leave the cottage the way you find it, clean and neat…just as if this was your own cottage. We expect you to sweep, do a few loads of laundry, do the dishes and take all garbage to our garbage bin, which is located at the beginning of the road with the Sniderman sign.

Yes, there is internet at the cottage.

No, there is no phone at the cottage.

Yes there is a great fire pit at the cottage overlooking the lake. Please make sure that you do not leave the fire unattended and douse the fire with water before you retire for the evening. As well, you need to check with the local fire department to ensure there are no fire bans in force.

The roads to the cottage are plowed regularly in the winter but snow tires are recommended. A four-wheel drive vehicle is preferred as roads up north can be difficult to navigate during the winter. Our private road is plowed and sanded by our local snow plow person and can be contacted in an emergency.

Yes you can visit the cottage before you rent. Arrangements will have to be made to meet you at the property so please contact us if you would like to see the property.
